A unique and quite attractive large-cabinet specimen from the Boldut mine in Cavnic, Romania. It features an epimorph (cast) of Quartz crystals that were coating the surface of former Calcite crystals which have dissolved away while still in the Earth. The backside of this remarkable specimen exhibits the negative impressions of the now missing Calcite crystals, as seen below, and the surface of the Quartz casts are sprinkled with countless tiny crystals of Chalcopyrite. The specimen is extemely light (only 10 ounces) for its size. Loads of beautiful details for you to explore all over. Perfect presentation for display and in excellent condition. These mines are now permanently closed, so don't let this one disappear.

An amazing and quite beautiful specimen of cubic Pyrite from Spain. It features three MIRROR-BRIGHT cubes of golden Pyrite to 3.9 cm. intergrown with one another to create a fantastic formation that is quite attractive no matter which side you view it from. MUCH SHINIER in person. I purchased this cluster directly from the mine owner, who informed me that virtually all such “chains” of Pyrite cubes from this locality are reconstructed after removal from the hard clay host rock, this piece may have one such repair. A really choice example of this material, with a very graceful composition that is dazzling all the way around. I’ve included a short VIDEO showing all sides of the specimen to give you a good idea of its three-dimensional shape.

It features a single terminated crystal of jet-black Aegerine artfully positioned over a nicely formed group of mottled, off-white Microcline crystals. The Microcline FLUORESCES a reddish-pink under shortwave UV light (see the next photo). Excellent display views all the way around this gracefully composed specimen. All in all, a very attractive cabinet-sized specimen and quite uncommon in this quality.

A very colorful specimen of Fluorite crystals on Quartz from De’An in Jiangxi province, China. It features a single large and sharply-terminated, teal-green to deep purple Fluorite cuboctahedron that is artfully arranged over a field of snow-white micro-crystalline Quartz. The Fluorite crystal is 4.5 cm. across, COMPLETE ALL THE WAY AROUND, and in PRISTINE condition, with no damage anywhere. From my personal collection and, needless to say, one-of-a-kind. All in all, a very graceful and colorful composition that is guaranteed to AMAZE and delight!
