An amazing and quite beautiful specimen of cubic Pyrite from Spain. It features five MIRROR-BRIGHT cubes of golden Pyrite to 4.0 cm. intergrown with one another to create a fantastic formation that is quite attractive no matter which side you view it from. MUCH SHINIER in person. I purchased this cluster directly from the mine owner, who informed me that virtually all such “chains” of Pyrite cubes from this locality are reconstructed after removal from the hard clay host rock, this piece may have one such repair . A really choice example of this material, with a very graceful composition that is dazzling all the way around. I’ve included a short VIDEO showing all sides of the specimen.

It features a hand-sized cluster of shiny black Sphalerite crystals arranged into a gracefully balanced composition and accompanied by small groups of Siderite and Calcite crystals. A beautiful old-time specimen of Quartz from Cavnic, Romania. It features a cluster of lustrous gray Quartz crystals associated with balls of nicely contrasting orange Siderite. The Quartz contains countless fibrous inclusions of what is probably Boulangerite or Stibnite, imparting the gray color to the core of the Quartz crystals. These mines are now permanently closed, so don't let this one disappear. In excellent condition as pictured.

It features numerous crystals of lustrous tapering Quartz partially coated with countless rhombs of pearly, ivory-white Dolomite and arranged into the graceful formation pictured. It features a matrix of Quartz crystals which are hosting numerous very lustrous yellow-green crystals of the Cleiophane variety of Sphalerite and some nicely contrasting Galena crystals. All in all, a very gracefully balanced specimen, with excellent contrast and composition, and loads of interesting details for you to explore. In excellent condition as pictured. A unique and quite attractive large-cabinet specimen from the Boldut mine in Cavnic, Romania. It features an epimorph (cast) of Quartz crystals that were coating the surface of former Calcite crystals which have dissolved away while still in the Earth. The backside of this remarkable specimen exhibits the negative impressions of the now missing Calcite crystals, as seen below, and the surface of the Quartz casts are sprinkled with countless tiny crystals of Chalcopyrite. The specimen is extemely light (only 10 ounces) for its size. Loads of beautiful details for you to explore all over. Perfect presentation for display and in excellent condition.
