I purchased this cluster directly from the mine owner, who informed me that virtually all such “chains” of Pyrite cubes from this locality are reconstructed after removal from the hard clay host rock; this piece is no exception. A really choice example of this material, with a very graceful composition that is dazzling all the way around.
