Orthoceras Fossil “Book” from Erfoud, Draa-Tafilalet, Morocco
$150.00A large and quite attractive specimen of polished Orthoceras fossils from Morocco. It features an over five pound piece of Orthoceras cleverly carved into the shaped of a book. Even though much of this material is available, these “books” are very hard to find; I was lucky to find one dealer with a few of these at the Tucson show several years ago. This particular book is very special in that it has “THE FOSSIL BOOK” engraved on the side.
Hematite from Irhoud Mine, Safi Province , Morocco
$42.00A very attractive specimen of botryoidal Hematite from Morocco. Similar to the classic material from Cumberland, England, it is also called “kidney ore” because of its resemblance to that organ. Composed of solid Hematite which is arranged into a very pleasing formation of side-by-side orbs. As the photos show, this piece is in excellent condition and has lots of beautiful details to explore.
