Fluorite from Xianghuapu Mine, Hunan Province, China

A very bright and quite beautiful Fluorite specimen from the Xianghuapu mine in Hunan, China. The Fluorite crystals are in the form of large translucent modified cubes that on close examination exhibit countless tiny cubic steps on their faces. They exhibit very high LUSTER and a remarkable CLARITY, allowing the background beneath to be easily seen clear through the crystals. The highly modified crystal habit creates many fine, exquisite details as seen in the above photo, and the specimen as a whole is arranged into a gracefully curving, elongated formation that is quite pleasing to the eye. NO DAMAGE AT ALL. All in all, an absolutely top notch specimen from a lesser-known locality and a must for the collector of fine Fluorites. Mined around 2004-2005. Guaranteed to delight!
