Xianghuapu Mine, Hunan, China
5.7 x 4.4 x 3.5 cm.
A very unusual Fluorite specimen from a small find of several years ago at the Xianghuapu Mine in Hunan, China. It features a group of cubic Fluorite crystals that exhibit a frosty luster and mysterious black phantoms within. The Fluorite fluoresces under both shortwave and longwave UV light but the phantoms do not, creating the unusual effect seen below (first photo is SW, 2nd is LW). As the photos show there are lots of interesting details for you to explore all over.
