From a locality famous for its highly fluorescent Fluorite I am pleased to offer for your enjoyment a top-shelf display specimen of this beautiful material. The very GEMMY crystals exhibit a lively purplish fluorescence under both longwave and shortwave UV light (not shown); they also exhibit a property called DAYLIGHT FLUORESCENCE, where the crystals acquire a BLUE TINT in the presence of normal daylight – this happens even in the shade as seen above. There are plenty of gemmy penetration twins on this remarkable specimen. One of the finest Rogerley Fluorite specimens that we have ever handled; the clarity of the crystals is amazing and it is in excellent condition as pictured.
