From a locality famous for its highly fluorescent Fluorite I am pleased to offer for your enjoyment a top-quality cabinet display specimen of this beautiful material. These GEMMY crystals exhibit a very lively purplish fluorescence under both longwave and shortwave UV light (not shown); they also exhibit a property called DAYLIGHT FLUORESCENCE, where the crystals acquire a BLUE TINT in the presence of normal daylight – this happens even in the shade as shown below. Several penetration twins on this very fine piece. In excellent condition, with great presentation for display.
