Altay Mine, Xinjiang Province, China
8.3 x 6.9 x 3.5 cm.
A very uncommon specimen of violet purple Fluorite from an old find in Xinjiang, China. It features a handsome array of inter-joined Fluorite crystals that exhibit a basic cubic form but with intricately stepped faces and highly modified, beveled edges and corners. The luster is just so-so, but the color is quite striking as pictured. Some minor contacting around the edges as shown.
